A quantum time machine called "The arms of chronoportation' gets activated, after having gone undercover with it's research for several centuries. It starts singing about It's quantum memory existing of all it's past selves. It starts looking for the meaning of it again. 8 performers travel through handspun textures, soundscape, and language.

À PROPOS DU BRICOLAGE

EXCERPT

À Propos Du Bricolage 2018 Peformance 20 min

Imal Bruxelles

2018

This lecture-performance took place in a small cabinet, separated by blinds from the rest of the exhibition. A speaker informs the public about her research on bricolage. She uses scientific evidence to inform them about the importance of bricolage as a method to solve problems. As a necessary altitude in life.  When she starts singing the testimony of her dentist on the topic, it becomes clear that her plea is not purely scientific. Themes such as magic, linguistics, invisibility, curiosity, humor, pass review until she gets interrupted by an ambiguous figure dressed in mandarin peels. They take over and recite vegan fables.

The lecture knitted further on the attitude of the bricoleur, and its ruleless variant the chipoteur. This performance took place in a particular intimate atmosphere, a storage space of a collector.
